{No} Ordinary Hero

I have this new friend that I met online.  She has this amazing little boy and like me.....an amazing open adoption.  I saw her little guy wearing this incredible shirt from an even more incredible organization a few weeks ago on her blog.  I immediately headed over to Ordinary Hero and placed two of them in my shopping cart.  And we will wear these shirts with pride until they are worn out and falling off us......and then we'll order more!

Ordinary Hero is a non profit organization that works to bring about awareness for adoption, foster care, and every child who needs a home. They want to make it a little easier to match up people who are looking to make a difference in the lives of a child and a child who desperately needs that difference made.  They want to help ordinary people make an extraordinary difference in the life of a child.  

I love their motto that everyday, ordinary people can change the world......like my daughter........like adoptive parents.......like birth parents.  The shirt above that says, "change the world for one,".........that's what a birth parent does.  They make that gut wrenching decision, often in the face of adversity, to change the world for a child.  

That's what I think of birth-parents.........

WORLD CHANGERS.  

Everyday I'm thankful for the world changers in my life.  They're no ordinary heroes in my book......
